Join Seasonal Ranger Ashlyn to learn about the different habitats within Seven Islands! Seven Islands is home to over 200 species of birds annually! The habitat diversity is one way we make this possible. Seven Islands has managed grasslands, woodlands, marshes, and wetland areas. Each performs as their own ecosystem and supports different kinds of wildlife.

On this hike, we will talk about what makes each habitat so important, what kinds of animals we may find, and why we may not see the same animals in other areas! We will also talk about the birds and other wildlife we see along our way.

We will also focus on the grasslands, why they are important for birds, and what techniques are involved in managing them!

We will meet at the Bluebird Barn before we begin the event. Then we will walk along the ADA Bobwhite trail, across the bridge, and to the Island Loop.
